Short Story

Our founder/CEO is  Florence Akpan. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant with extensive government experience, and a Registered Immigration Consultant with Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). She started Cannime Services which has now evolved to InfoPlace Canada. She is passionate about  helping immigrants come to Canada, but most importantly to succeed and make a positive impact in Canada.

Long Story

It would be difficult telling you about InfoPlace Canada without starting from the brain child, Cannime Services. Cannime Services was born out of necessity to create a medium where Florence could share her experiences in Canada as an immigrant. She started blogging in 2009 to bring her love for information sharing to current and prospective immigrants in Canada.

As an immigrant in Canada, it is difficult to talk about living in Canada without mentioning Citizenship and Immigrations Canada (CIC) now Immigrations Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Your status as an Immigrant is very important until you become a citizen. Florence experienced first hand various types of status as an immigrant in Canada. She moved to Canada in 2004 as an international student; completed her Bachelors degree in Commerce , majoring in Accounting.  She began her accounting career using the post graduate work permit. After working for a year, she met the eligibility requirement to apply for Permanent Residence (PR) through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and got her PR in 2011. Three years after, she became a Canadian Citizen.

Asides from her personal experience, she has extensive experience in consulting with immigrants on immigration issues. As a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), her goal is to ensure that  clients receive top-notch services and information about schooling, working, visiting  or immigrating to Canada.
