Jacob Akpan P.Eng
Jacob is a Pipeline and planning Engineer with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Nigeria and a Masters degree in Environmental management from the UK.
He migrated to Canada in 2011 and successfully overcame the the hurdles of professional Engineering licencing in Saskatchewan, Canada with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-sciences (APEGS).
He has diverse experience in the upstream oil and gas sector and vast experience in gas pipeline operation and hydraulic modelling.
With up to 8 years of gas pipeline experience in Canada, He can relate with the struggles of new immigrant engineers looking to grow their career. He is willing to assist immigrants and provide valuable information to fast track their career growth in Canada as Engineers as well as overcoming regulatory requirements to practice in Canada.
Dr. Adeola Olubamiji
Adeola is a 3D-Printing Specialist, Innovation Evangelist, Career Coach. I received my Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
She relocated to Canada in 2012 and have a total of 7 years of Industrial and Research Experience that cuts across Biomedical, Aerospace & Automotive Industries.
Having lived in Nigeria, Finland, Canada and the USA and crossed from one industry to another with ease, she would like to help new immigrants understand how they too can navigate with their foreign degrees.
She has a track records of success mentoring immigrants through career mapping, career transition, pay negotiation and how to strategize for getting promoted. She has sucessfully navigated through the North American Career scene and hopes that she can show you the ropes and help you with the information you need to build the skill sets needed to grow your career and bargain excellent compensation without getting scared.
